Ned Neely Second Serve
Ned Neely Second Serve was named after Ned Neely, another successful protégé of Jack Waters. He became the first Georgia junior player to win a USTA National Junior National Championship in 1955 and Ned, along with Lee Sessions, was credited with bringing the Davis Cup to Atlanta in 1998.
Through Ned Neely Second Serve, the GTF provides financial assistance for tournament and travel expenses to talented junior tennis players in need, to help with tournament travel costs. In addition, scholarship dollars are provided through multiple designated scholarships to high school seniors who have demonstrated excellence in both tennis, as well as academics.
Some of Georgia’s most successful professional players have received assistance from the Ned Neely Second Serve, including Chris Eubanks, Robby Ginepri, Jamea Jackson, Jarmere Jenkins, Scoville Jenkins, Kevin King, Grace Min, Jewel Peterson, Bobby Reynolds, Taylor Townsend & Brian Vahaly.
