GEORGIA TENNIS LICENSE PLATE
The Georgia tennis specialty license plate is now available! The Georgia Tennis Foundation & USTA Georgia are proud to offer this specialty license plate to Georgia drivers so they can show their support of our great sport. All net proceeds benefit the Georgia Tennis Foundation who (along with USTA Georgia) are dedicated to enhancing young people’s lives through tennis & education all throughout the state of Georgia. Funds will be distributed back to our in-school & after school programs, along with our NJTL Chapter network across the Peach State.
Fees for a Georgia specialty tag is as follows:
$25 manufacturing fee (this is charged one-time)
$20 renewal fee
$35 specialty tag fee (Georgia Tennis Foundation receives $10)
Here is how you can get your tag:
1) In-person at your local county tag office – Once at the tag office, ask for the Georgia Tennis specialty plate (TF) at the window. In most cases, you will be issued a temporary plate in the office and your new license plate will be mailed to you after your visit. If the office is having trouble finding the tag in their system, ask them to search for the License Plate code “TF”.
2) Online Purchase – If you are already registered in Georgia and would like to change to the Georgia Tennis specialty license plate tag, visit the Georgia Motor Vehicle website. Click ‘Tag Renewal’ and then search for your car. Then select ‘yes’ when asked if you want a new plate. Select the Georgia Tennis Foundation (TF) plate from the dropdown menu. If you are registering your vehicle for the first time, select the Georgia Tennis Foundation (TF) plate from the dropdown menu.
Your Georgia Tennis specialty tag can be renewed online like normal plates. When it is time to renew, simply note that you would not like to change your current tag after you log in.
Please note that for first-time purchase, the fee is $80, renewals are $55.
If you have any questions or problems, please contact Darren Potkey for assistance.
Thank you for your support of our great sport and the mission of the Georgia Tennis Foundation. Enjoy your new plate!
