The home of the Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame is the Sessions Family Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum, located at the USTA Georgia offices in Marietta, Georgia. (116 Marble Mill Road, Marietta, GA 30060).
Inside the museum are mementos of some of Georgia’s greatest ever tennis players, coaches and contributors. A popular stop at the museum is the Howell Family Historical Timeline, which chronicles major events in Georgia tennis history from past to present.
The Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame has enshrined 74 individuals, each of them with their own tennis story to tell. From the original class of 1983 that included the legendary Bitsy Grant, to the most recent class (2024 – Gery Groslimond & Philip Johnson), the excellence of tennis in the Peach State is on full display.
The Sessions Family Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum is open to the public, Tuesday-Thursday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, or by appointment. The Hall welcomes youth groups to visit as well. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please contact Darren Potkey.
The Georgia Tennis Foundation (GTF) congratulates the 2 new members for the 2024 Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame class. Joining the 74 current members of the Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame are Gery Groslimond (coach) & Philip Johnson (player).
In addition, the Coach Dan Magill “Impact” Award was bestowed upon noted Atlanta sports media personality Sam Crenshaw.
Special thank you to our host Marietta Country Club. We’ll see you at the 2025 induction ceremony!
