Kylie is from Canton, GA and plans to study Neuroscience at Georgia Tech. She started playing tennis when she was 8 years old after her parents signed her up for a local clinic. She fell in love with the intensity, strategy, and especially the individual aspect of the game. She loves that you are fully accountable for your performance – there’s no one to hide behind and that pushes her to constantly grow both mentally and physically.
Favorite Tennis Memory: Winning city finals with my mixed team after being at the courts for over 8 hours. We waited through rain delays and long, intense matches. The energy, the teamwork, and finally getting that win after such a long day made it one of the most fun experiences I’ve had on court!
Accomplishments off the court: I’m proud of maintaining a high GPA throughout high school while taking 18 AP classes, managing a part-time job and an intense tennis schedule. I’m really proud of the balance I’ve been able to maintain over the past 4 years!
Favorite tennis player: Emma Navarro – I love how composed and consistent she is. Watching her play live at the Charleston Open was so fun and inspiring. Seeing her in action up close made me appreciate her game even more!
Favorite sports team: UConn Women’s Basketball – I’ve followed the team for years, especially because my favorite player (Paige Bueckers) has been a part of the team. Her court vision, leadership, and work ethic are so fun to watch and incredibly motivating!
