Atlanta Circle Cup 2017

The Georgia Tennis Foundation and the Joe Dorn First Serve programs celebrated 15th anniversary of the Atlanta Circle Cup event at the historic Washington Park Tennis Center on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 10am-1pm.  The fun day of games offered a unique opportunity for a record breaking 170+ kids from the Washington Park neighborhood, Camp Best Friends, Agape, the Police Athletic League, Magee Park and several Atlanta Metro YMCAs to be introduced to tennis by some of teaching pros and volunteers from USTA Georgia, USTA Southern, Universal Tennis Academy, ALTA, Agape, AYTEF and Georgia YMCAs.  Former professional player Jarmere Jenkins, collegiate tennis players - Parker Goldstein, Rahul Das and Josh Pinkney courtesy of Universal Tennis Academy/David Drew played in an exhibition that had kids smiling while enjoying a delicious lunch donated by Publix Super Markets Charities and the group wrapped up their unique tennis experience with a cool treat from Kona Ice Midtown.

The Georgia Tennis Foundation(GTF) is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to the growth and development of tennis in Georgia by providing tennis programs with emphasis on youth development, community revitalization through tennis, grants to young players and by preserving the historical aspects of tennis in Georgia with the opening of the Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame which opened on May 2, 2015.

GTF is grateful for the support of many individuals, organizations and companies like IberiaBank, Publix Super Markets Charities, Arthur Blank Youth Foundation, Coca Cola Foundation, ALTA, WSB-TV, Northside Hospital Foundation, CornerCap Investments, King & Spalding, TalentQuest, USTA Georgia, USTA Southern and many more who invest in the health of their communities.  You can learn more about our mission and the Atlanta Circle Cup at https://www.facebook.com/georgiatennisfoundation or here on our website.
